Remember the nursery rhyme "Little Miss Muffet sat on her Tuffet..."? Well in January of 2019, my 2 best sewing buddies, Windy and Jenny and I went to the annual sewing convention held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and is called 'Stitchin' At The Beach' (I LOVE the name and location! 🏖️). In between classes we always work on personal projects at the condo. That particular year, we decided to make our tuffet covers. We happily got our tuffet covers completed and left Myrtle Beach that year with plans to assemble our footstools!
Sadly, it took me a few years to finish my project and I'm sorry I didn't think to take pictures of sewing the cover together. However, after these past few years of looking at my tuffet cover sit sadly in its corner of my sewing room, I pulled out the pieces and with the assistance of my husband, put my little tuffet together! The 12 inch upholstery needle used to sew the button on was no joke and we discovered quickly it wasn't a needle you wanted to accidentally poke yourself with!
I am loving the colors and now that I see how easily it all comes together hope to make a few more of these adorable little footstools in the future!
